San Diego

We went to visit my brother who lives in San Diego. It was awesome! He lives pretty much right on the beach in La Jolla. Our kids had so much fun just playing in the waves and they absolutely love their super fun Uncle Joseph!



Madeline loved the water too, but she loved drinking this diet Squirt even more! She loves to copy mom:)


We attended Joseph's singles ward and it was great.

Just a few of the many cousins...

Our kids had so much fun playing with all of their cousins in California. Including first and second cousins, they have over 100 on Mike's side. It's crazy!

We took up practically the whole Cold Stone...

Some of the kids' cousins apparently couldn't get enough of the heat here, so they came back two weeks later! Anyone who has visited us during the summer knows that there are only two things you do during this season here. You swim and you eat ice cream. This is one of the times we ate ice cream. We had 5 cousins with us too.

We went to California...

for Mike's family reunion... One of Mike's cousin's brought their five kittens to give away.



Cameron and Madeline both wanted to take home a kitten, but the thought of having something else to be responsible for just sounded a little exhausting to me.

I got some cute pictures of them anyway.

I've Created a Blog!

My wonderful friends taught me how to create a blog a while back and I finally came up with the courage to tackle this! So here goes......

Last week we had a fun and slightly crazy week. We had 3 cousins visit with Grandma and Grandpa. We had to get creative because when it's 115 degrees outside you really don't want to be out there unless you have lots of water both inside and outside of you. We managed to swim in our pool several times, go swim at the aquatic center with slides, lazy river, swirly pool, etc. We also went to see Prince Caspian and it was pretty good. We went to a splash pad that they have at the outdoor mall here. People get hot walking from store to store, so they go jump in the splash pad. We got ice cream at the mall too, because the splash pad started getting hot:)


Now I have to go pack for the family reunion that we are headed to.....
